7. What is a real estate broker?
Answer - Someone who holds a brokers license. Definitions vary from state to state. In Minnesota, a broker has demonstrated an experience level, (normally two years experience as an agent), taken additional schooling and passed a broker exam. A broker is licensed to hire real estate agents to work for them. An agent MUST work under the license of a Minnesota real estate broker.
