International Services
Our people make a difference
one move at a time
With our international expertise and professional contacts around the globe, we can assist corporations with an individual or group move to virtually any destination in the world.
Pre-departure Counseling
A counselor can work with the individual family in a one- or two-day cross-cultural program to foster a deeper understanding of the destination culture. The counselor focuses on daily-life and professional-interaction issues, and professionals with country-specific expertise add realistic perspective to opportunities and challenges facing the family.
Arrival Services
The family is provided practical, essential home-finding services and settling-in support in a 25- to 50-hour program spread across a three- to six-month period. A relocation counselor works with the family throughout the relocation process.
Home-Finding Services
After the family has selected a home, the destination-country counselor can help in a number of ways, from negotiating rental costs to arranging for lease review, deposits, telephone installation, and utility hook-ups. Home-buying assistance is also available.
Settling-in Services
Critical upon arrival, settling-in services can remain available to the family throughout the assignment. These services, which are designed to help the relocating family master daily life in the new country, range from opening bank accounts to move-in-day assistance.
Cross-cultural Counseling
Participants in this one- to two-day program receive practical information on living and working in the different country. The program can be customized to serve an employee with regionwide responsibilities that involve understanding a wider array of business and cultural differences.
Spouse/Partner and Children Programs
Pre-departure and in-country programs are tailored to particular needs of individual family members. The spouse/partner program can include information on obtaining employment.
Repatriation Programs
Programs for the family as a group and for the employee, spouse/partner and children separately are recommended six months prior to departure and one month after repatriation. These programs explore the full range of repatriation issues, from reverse culture shock to political and economic changes.
Global Awareness Programs
All employees affected by their organization's global presence can benefit from skills that enable the development of a global mind-set. The program fosters a deeper understanding of global differences and the unique challenges that business people face in diverse cultural climates.
Intercultural Team-building Programs
These programs identify and bridge cultural differences among a team of the corporate client's employees. The team learns to agree on common definitions for decision-making, conflict resolution and communication, and participants develop personal action plans for becoming more effective team members.
